Frieza (フリーザ, Furīza) is a playable character in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Biography

Frieza is a vicious galactic tyrant who rules over many planets with an iron fist after inheriting part of his father (King Cold)'s empire. Personally responsible for driving the Saiyan race to the brink of extinction, Frieza would be defeated by Goku, one of the very Saiyans he loathed. He would later be killed by Trunks, a hybrid-Saiyan youth from the future. Unfortunately, death would not keep Frieza for long, as his henchmen would wish him back to life with the Dragon Balls. With a new lease on life, Frieza would train in order to carry out his revenge against Goku and his friends.

Gameplay Synopsis

Frieza has a huge set of options, having more moves than any other character in the game. With a fantastic level one super attack and three level three super attacks, he is a force to be reckoned with. Many players choose him for his ability to fight at a range, his ability to control the screen, and his wide variety of moves. For anybody looking for a character that always has a move up their sleeve, Frieza is a dastardly, perfect pick.

Special Moves

• Death Slash: Swings his hand shakes the ground creating a blast. This is A Assist.
• You Might Not Survive This Time: Focuses ki into a ball which will go across the screen, holding back makes it move slower. This is his B Assist.
• Death Saucer: Fires two discs at the opponent which will return and can hurt Frieza.
• Warp Smash: Teleports a short distance and fires a ki blast.

Super Attacks

• Death Ball: Charges up a large ball of ki and fires it downwards. Requires one ki gauge.
• Nova Strike: Goes full power and flys up a short distance, he then proceeds to smash the ground. Requires three ki gauges.
• You Must Die By My Hand!: Can be activated when knocked down. Will fire a beam of ki upwards towards the opponent. Requires three ki gauges.
• Golden Frieza: Transforms into his Golden state. Requires three ki gauges.
• Sorbet's Ring Gun: Can be activated when the Golden Frieza transformation ends. Sorbet will shoot the opponent using a ray gun. Requires one ki gauge.

Dramatic Finishes/Intros

Frieza vs. Goku(SS)(Intro)

If Frieza fights Goku(SS) on Planet Namek this cinematic will play. Frieza blows up Krillin and Goku seeing this enrages to the Super Saiyan state.

Frieza vs. Bardock

If Frieza beats Bardock on Space using a Vanish this Dramatic Finish will play. Bardock will get shot back and states that this attack will change the future and fires a Riot Javelin. Frieza proceeds to snicker before charging up a Supernova which consumes the attack and Bardock as well.

Bardock vs. Frieza

If Bardock beats Frieza on Space using a heavy or Vanish this cinematic will play. Frieza gets knocked back and calls Bardock fool and charges a supernova which he fires. Bardock will then be consumed by the supernova and sees Goku in the future fighting Frieza he smiles but then snaps back to reality and destroys Frieza's attack he then grabs his bandana and enrages to the Super Saiyan state and fires a Riot Javelin which explodes with Frieza.

Trivia

Frieza is the only character whose heavy cannot activate a Dramatic Finish.

Frieza is one of the few characters that can hurt themselves the others being Tien, Ginyu, and Android 16.

Frieza's You Must Die By My Hand! move is a reference to when he fought Super Saiyan Goku on Namek.
