Shenron is the entity that resides inside the seven Dragon Balls, which, when collected, are able to summon him once a year. He will grant the holder of the balls any wish, within his power. (There are a few things he still cannot do) In Dragon Ball FighterZ, the Dragon Balls appear as a universal game mechanic. Performing a default auto-combo or doing a combo which yields more than 100 hits will cause a random Dragon Ball to be added to a counter at the bottom of the screen. When all seven are present, performing a default auto-combo will summon the dragon Shenron. The player who summoned him will be allowed to wish for one of four things. There is a timer, and when it runs out, if no option has been selected, the option the cursor currently rests on will be chosen.

Trivia[]
- Summoning Shenron rarely ever happens during a match, due to the extreme conditions for it to occur. It can completely turn a match around however. That being said, Shenron can only be summoned once per round.
- Popular Japanese player GO1 was able to summon Shenron twice in one tournament.
- The order the Dragon Balls are summoned in does not matter.
