Trunks (トランクス, Torankusu) is a playable character in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Background

In the future, a pair of androids created by Dr. Gero ravaged the Earth. Trunks, the son of Vegeta and Bulma, went back in time in the hopes of changing history so that the devastation he grew up with would be averted. Even though he would not be able to change the history he came from, he would help Goku and his allies fight against Cell to protect the history of this new timeline, then return to his own time to save the Earth from the androids of his own timeline, restoring peace to the world until the arrival of Goku Black...

Special Moves

• Shining Slash: Leaps towards the opponent and slashes his sword multiple and finishes it off with a ki blast.
• Masenko: Gathers ki in his hands and fires it off as a beam. This is his B Assist.
• Change The Future: Gathers ki in his hands and fires it off towards the opponent. This is his A Assist
• Cyclone Jump: Jumps upwards spinning. More of a getaway rather than an attack.
• Cyclone Buster: Mid-air ki blast.

Super Attacks

• Burning Attack: Gathers ki in his hands and fires it off as a large ball that explodes on contact. Requires one ki gauge.
• Heat Dome Attack: Grabs the opponent and throws them upwards he then proceeds to fire large amounts of ki at them. Requires three ki gauges.

Story Mode Biography

Future Trunks is one of the few default characters that does not appear in story mode. However, while his present counterpart does make an appearance, Clones of Future Trunks also appear in Story Mode

Trivia

Shining Slash, Change the Future and Heat Dome Attack are all moves he has used on main villains in the anime. Shining Slash on Mecha Frieza; Change the Future on Future Android 18; and Heat Dome Attack on Future Cell.
