Vegeta (ベジータ, Bejīta) is the prince of the fallen Saiyan race, with this version representing his early appearance in the Saiyan Saga up to Planet Namek Saga. of the Dragon Ball series. He is a playable fighter in Dragon Ball FighterZ, being the sixth downloadable fighter of the first FighterZ Pass and was released on August 8th, 2018 alongside Goku. He can be purchased for 4.99$ or by buying the FighterZ Pass.

Biography

Vegeta came to Earth with the heartless Nappa when the two elites heard of the Dragon Balls over Raditz's scouter. In search of immortality, they rushed to the planet to fulfill their wish. During this time, Goku rushed back from otherworld to defend the planet. However, Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, Piccolo, Chiaotzu, and the young Gohan were forced to fight off the Saiyan threat until their friend arrived. Unfortunately, Yamcha, Tien, Piccolo, and Chiaotzu were unconscioused by the time Goku arrived. After one of the most famous showdowns in anime history, Goku, Krillin, and Gohan just barely managed to send Vegeta packing after using all of their combined strength. Upon discovering Frieza was behind the destruction of Planet Vegeta, it eventually led a vengeful Vegeta to form an alliance with Goku, Gohan, Krillin and a resurrected Piccolo, then his eventual fate of becoming one of the Earth's known strongest surviving Saiyan after Planet Namek incident.

Special Moves

• Energy Cutter: Vegeta fires a disc shaped energy blast, strikingly similar to the Destructo-Disc.
• I have no use for Saiyans that can't move: Vegeta grabs his opponent by the ankle and tosses them upwards.
• Deadly Knee Drop: Vegeta flashsteps away before landing on top on his opponent with a knee drop, crushing them into the ground.
• Super Dash Kick: a powerful thrusting kick

Super Attacks

• Galick Gun: Vegeta jumps up and fires a powerful, purple energy wave downwards diagonally. This is Vegeta's level one super attack. Vegeta's jump height is determined by the opponent's location.
• Galaxy Breaker: Vegeta fires a powerful, blue energy wave vertically upwards from his chest. This is his level three super attack.

Trivia

• Vegeta's pre-battle quote to Yamcha "Oh, come on. You couldn't even handle the Saibamen!" is a reference to the infamous saying "Yamcha is weak because he couldn't defeat a Saibaman." However, this is false, because as Yamcha showed in the Dragon Ball Z episode "Saibamen Attack," he managed to overpower four Saibamen at once before one self destructed on him.
• Vegeta's second color pallette is modeled after his original anime colors, which was created due to Toriyama having not yet created the final color pattern for him or Nappa at the time of their first anime appearances. Despite this, the second color pallette lacks the auburn hair featured in the anime, instead keeping the standard black.
